A cooperation with the City of Hanover
The “Stage of Utopias” is a public space for meeting, exchanging ideas and dreaming together on Andreas-Hermes-Platz.
Where prison walls and bars once stood, there are now microphones and speakers. Andreas-Hermes-Platz, named after a resistance fighter, carries a history of courage and transformation, and it’s exactly that spirit we’re building on. Under the open sky, we’re creating a space where stories are shared, boundaries are crossed, and utopias come within reach.
From May to September, the square behind the main train station becomes the “Stage of Utopias”, public space for connection, exchange, and collective dreaming. It’s where music, literature, theater, discussions, and workshops come together. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome: neighbors, commuters, grandparents with grandchildren, students, artists, visionaries, and skeptics alike.
The Stage of Utopias is part of Summer Lounge 2025—a joint project with the City of Hanover. The opening takes place on May 12, 2025.
