Ninia LaGrande presents queer-feminist literature in the Pavillon. At ‘Ninia presents…’, Ninia meets with an author on the Pavillon stage and holds a discussion with her/them after a reading.
Queer-feminist literature at the Pavillon
The presenter Ninia LaGrande is launching a new literature series with the Pavillon. In “Ninia introduces..”, Ninia invites people from the queer-feminist context to bring their literature and texts from the fields of fiction, journalism, poetry and pop culture to the stage at the Pavillon. The authors will read from their current works and then talk to Ninia about their books and socio-political issues. It’s about poetry, literature, humour and diverse perspectives on the pressing issues of our time.
For a long time now, Ninia LaGrande has been presenting books she likes and finds socially relevant on Instagram. The step from the short social media format to the analogue stage was therefore a small one. Programme planner Penelope Gayer and Ninia LaGrande want to establish a new literary show in Hanover that gives queer-feminist themes and authors more space and attention.
Who Ninia introduces in 2025..
Ninia and Penelope invite people who dedicate their writing to topics that are currently moving our society, that are relevant for shaping our common future and that allow us to ask questions and negotiate together. The texts deal with topics such as motherhood, abortion rights, Generation Y, wild parties, coping with grief, politics and work that is critical of racism.
” Ninia introduces…” is a series by the Pavillon Cultural Center in collaboration with Ninia LaGrande.
